the quality of our questions

As one year closes and another year opens, I’d like to offer some resources to help reflect.

Through all the ways we’ve broken open and come together, this year has shaped each of us into who we are today and what we bring to the year ahead.

The quality of our questions

These are the questions that I’m referencing in my own year-end reflection and that I’ve shared with close friends. They bring attention not to the quantity of what we’ve done, but to the quality of our experiences.

Looking back:

  • What tough decisions did I make?

  • What did I do this year that was hard?

  • When did I show myself compassion?

  • What do I need to forgive myself for?

  • Along what edges did I grow? What did I learn?

  • When did I show up for others?

  • What is a decision I am proud of?

Looking ahead to the New Year:

  • What am I simplifying? Where can I create more ease?

  • What forms does Love take this coming year?

  • What fears am I facing?

  • What contradictions am I reconciling?

  • Taking a step back and looking at the big picture, what’s most impactful?

  • In what areas of my life can I be more kind?

Sending you all the best this holiday season. May we continue to support and learn from one another as we walk together into the New Year.
